WHO introduced the Greek Gyro?
Vlahos Original Greek Concessions is a family owned and operated
business established in 1976. John and Alexandra Vlahos introduced the Original Greek Gyro to Warren, Ohio initially and furthermore Northeast Ohio. The Vlahos family is proud to share with you one of the favorite foods from Greece.
WHAT is a Gyro?
Gyro means to rotate or to gyrate. It describes the way the meat is
cooked. The meat is cooked vertically on a spit that constantly rotates. Look for the Gyro machine to make sure
you are eating an original Greek Gyro. A Gyro is a combination of 80% beef and 20% lamb ground, spiced and packed into
perfection, served on a soft warm pita bread, topped with tomatoes, onions, and a choice of tzatziki (cucumber sauce) or sour cream – OR any way you like it! We also have added Chicken Gyros to our menu replacing the original Gyro meat with a marinated chicken breast sliced and served hot and juicy. Now serving the Veggie Gyro packed full of fresh veggies-lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber topped with either sauce.
WHERE will you find us?
You will find us in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania area festivals, fairs, and events.
Please check our events page on this website, our Facebook page (don't forget to "Like" us) or with the concession stand for a list of events.
WHEN is a good time for a Gyro?
Summertime is the only time for a Vlahos Original Greek Gyro. Get it now
while it’s hot, because the summer won’t be around forever.
It’s GYRO TIME!
WHY should you enjoy a Gyro today?
